Mike Boniface (IT Innovation, University of Southampton) presented the Grid Solution Portfolio that was developed by the SIMDAT Grid Technology Activity as

• generic framework for delivering domain-specific business Grids
  - service-oriented architecture based on key Grid and Web Service specifications
  - combination of open source and commercial middleware and tools
• technology and professional service offering from SIMDAT to commercial Grid users

By focusing on inter-domain business requirements SIMDAT has delivered infrastructure services that support relationship management at a meaningful level of abstraction targeting both project management and design stakeholders. Main topics of the presentation were

• governing collaborative business relationships using Service Level Agreements including ISV licensing scenarios
• enforcing distributed policy decisions using dynamic trust and security infrastructures
• contextualised service discovery combining security with distributed resource contexts
• analysis service provision based on SaaS models
