Created in July 2000, European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company (EADS) is Europe's premier aerospace and defence company and No. 2 worldwide.2001 EADS revenues amounted to EURO 30,8 billion, of which 80 % is in civil activities and 20 percent in the military sector. EADS employs more than 100,000 people in over 70 sites in France, Germany, Great Britain and Spain.

EADS Corporate Research Centre will bring the following experience to the SIMDAT project:
Scientific Computing: wide knowledge of advanced simulations techniques, especially in the field of wave propagation phenomena. EADS CRC has an enormous experience on the integration of such analysis techniques in industrial distributed environment – from CAD processing to high-end visualisation through high performance computing systems. In the past five years, a significant experience has been gained the development and usage of grid middleware – from defining strategies & policies inside an organisation to setting up user oriented portals for day to day operations. As our main focus is to feed the EADS business units with new research outputs, an extensive experience in Technology transfer and collaboration has been gained during our last European experiences (EMCP2, JACO3, EUROGRID & DAMIEN).

EADS will contribute to the aerospace activity and provide the aero acoustics application. EADS will together with BAE SYSTEMS develop and set-up a Data Interoperability Service.
